I've been trying to update the firmware on my STR-DH790 and am receiving a message "NO SUPPORT" after I insert the USB stick. I am interested in the eARC feature since right now I keep getting blackouts on my LG OLED and Apple TV.Well Sony I got good news and bad news. Yes, it will work if you hook the PS5 into your STR-DH790.....but the bad news is your receiver is not a 120hz passthrough. So your VRR update makes VRR impossible with this set up now on my new A80J. ARC used to work perfectly with my old Samsung KS8000, but can't make the C1 output sound through HDMI ARC port. The HMDI-CEC aspects work though I can control the SR-373 with the C1 remote, as well as get dolby digital 5.1 through the optical audio out port.If the TV is not compatible with the eARC or ARC function, connect the receiver to the TV using an optical digital cable (not supplied) or audio cable (not supplied).
